Evacuees and gas

Turns out that Smyrna is one of several evacuee sites in Tennessee for people from New Orleans and Louisiana.
Here is a list of the local shelters, and the time each is expected to open:

2pm - Smyrna National Guard Training Center, 400 Fitzhugh Blvd, Smyrna, TN (TEMA shelter)
2pm - Tullahoma National Guard Training Center, 400 Industrial Blvd, Tullahoma, TN (TEMA shelter)
after 4pm - Schrader Lane Church of Christ, 1234 Schrader Lane, Nashville, TN
after 5pm - College Hill Church of Christ, 1401 Leeville Pike, Lebanon, TN
after 8pm - Two Rivers Baptist Church, 2800 McGavock Pike, Nashville, TN
Sadly this is well planned due to the 'errors' of the last storm there.

Another side effect is that many gas and petro facilities are shutting down there and gas prices that have ben dropping so pleasently have started to climb.
Analysts say prolonged supply disruptions could cause a sudden price uptick for gasoline and other petroleum products. Gasoline prices rose this week for the first time in more than a month, and they continued upward Saturday. A gallon of regular gasoline jumped more than a penny overnight to a national average of $3.682, according to auto club AAA.
That means if you have a beast of a vehicle like mine with its 31 gallon tank, then fill up NOW because tomorrow it's going to hurt!
