Great news!

The Smyrna library has announced that they are republishing an important book.
In 1960, Walter King Hoover set out to write the story of Smyrna. Eight years and 559pages later, his book was published.

Only 537 copies of Hoover’s “A History of the Town of Smyrna” were printed. Proud of his town, Hoover sold the books locally and sent them all over the country. But he never did a second printing and if you wanted a copy of the long out-of-print book, it would be hard to come by.

Until now.

This month, the Smyrna Public Library will host a party for the re-release of the book. The party will be from noon to 3 p.m. Jan. 23. The Friends of Smyrna Public Library have worked for a year on the reprinting of the book.
This is a hard to get book and one I plan on purchasing. It covers the history of Smyrna in detail and is a type of book I call a 'keeper'.

How can I get on the pre-order list? Do I just come by the library?
