Hello Smyrna how the heck are you doing this fine Monday? Not counting the people who work at Nissan who likely will be suffering a long year until final figures are given out on layoffs I hope most of you are having a good day.

I'm an odd critter. I've never suffered from the "Mondays". I enjoy the start of a week. My bad day is almost always Thursday. The day you say "@^$#^#$ I still have another day to go before the delight of a restful weekend". Thursdays suck, Mondays are cool.

Calligraphy and Victorian Courting Customs Class

Held at Oaklands Historic House Museum, 900 North Maney Avenue, Murfreesboro. 9:00 a.m.-12 noon. Admission: $15.00, Feel the romance at Oaklands in the 1800’s when sweethearts were chaperoned, candies with printed messages were exchanged between boys and girls, and couples danced at elegant soirees. Home school students, ages 10-14 years old, are invited to attend this special class on calligraphy and Victorian courting customs. Reservations required. Smyrna Police to Offer RAD - Rape Aggression Training Class - Self Defense For Women

Smyrna Tn - The Smyrna Police Department is offering Rape Aggression Defense System (R.A.D.) classes in February. The class is free and consists of 4 three hour classes and will be held on Feb. 10th, 11th and Feb. 17th, 18th. These are Tuesday and Wednesday of two consecutive weeks in a row. Class will be at located at 644 Fitzhugh Blvd Fire hall #2 from 6pm to 9pm.

You know, a simple gun ownership class with a carry permit would probably be the most simple and effective "rape prevention" course you could take...
