This quote is funny:

$1000??? That's a bit insane. No way it would cost me that much. Of course, I'd scavenge (recycle!) wood for the coop, etc.

I hope we get more freedom here soon.

That does sound high even if she bought a years supply of feed to go with that coop. I like the coop. Wish I could make out the name on the side.

Sure is good though to see people enjoying the raising of chickens.

As for more freedom here, I am still planning on setting up a community information booth at Depot Days this September. I have the chicken tractor looking good, the chickens are ready and a number of pamphlets on urban farming in the works. All that is needed is a well writen petition for the citizens of Smyrna to sign and a council member willing to listen.
