100 plus teams

Run for the hills! Smyrna is about to be invaded by over 100 soccer teams and the Soccer moms and their minivans of doom will bring chaos and destruction to our fare cottages...or not.
The Stones River Futbol Club will welcome 118 soccer teams from throughout Tennessee and the Southeast to its Spring Shootout 2010 on March 26-28 at Rotary Soccer Park in Smyrna.
....
The town of Smyrna allows the club to utilize fields at Smyrna Middle and Elementary school and Lee Victory Park to make room for the large number of games this tournament brings each spring. Local restaurants, hotels, retail stores and others will benefit from the players, coaches, teams and tournament officials, who also bring along their families to this three-day tournament
sounds like a nice boost towards local businesses.

We have made it through so many other big events in Smyrna. This last week we had 550 kids in town for the Pepsi tourny. now this tourny this weekend. Look at the money coming to our city. People have to eat, and have a motel room. This is great in times like this!!

Sounds great. Too bad we couldn't mix this event with one of the Zombie Film events...
