Chris “Gong” Nachampasak was formally charged with first degree murder this week after Smyrna detectives traveled to Minnesota to take him into custody.
Nachampasak was arrested Aug. 7 by the Prior Lake Police Department in Prior Lake, Minn., on an outstanding first degree murder warrant for the May 16 murder of 14-year-old Rachan "Micky" Chatree.
I'm glad he was caught and this did not drag out an unreasonable amount of time.
