Some summer camps for you

Stuck at home? Kids getting on your nerves? You think selling them to gypsies for the summer might be a good idea.

Never fear...there are legal ways to get rid of them at least for the short term. Summer Camps.

School of The Soldier
June 6-10, 2016
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. each day.
Your marching orders have arrived! Grab your haversack and canteen as you head off to join the ranks. Campers spend an active week complete with drills, crafts, campfire cooking, and spy games as they learn about the life of Civil War soldiers. Period dress is optional.
Ages 7-14

Science of History
June 20-24, 2016
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. each day.
Science of History focuses on the plantation's natural resources and features engaging, hands-on activities designed to inspire campers to take a closer look at the world around them. Campers will learn how science and history work hand in hand and may even get up close and personal with some local wildlife!
Ages 7-14
REGISTER NOW - Deadline to register: June 6, 2016 
Jane Davis Academy
July 11-15, 2016
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. each day.
Campers will be instructed in the fine arts of 19th Century womanhood such as dress, sewing, dance, and much more. Period dress is optional.

The Town of Smyrna also has some offerings to keep your children busy.(A basic copy and paste from the newsletter from the Parks and rec department)
Spring… BreakoutThe Smyrna Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting fun family activities during spring break, March 28th - April 1st. Program is designed to encourage children to get out and enjoy our beautiful park system. Parents are welcome to attend or drop your child off if you prefer. 
Monday- Meet us at the Smyrna Town Centre. We will travel by foot to Lee Victory Rec Park for sports activities including: kickball and whiffle ball on the dirt baseball fields. 
Tuesday- Meet at the Smyrna Town Centre. We will be traveling by foot to the Lee Victory Recreation Park where we will learn how to prepare a baseball field for a game or practice 
Wednesday- Meet at the Smyrna Town Centre. We will be traveling by foot to the Lee Victory Recreation Park where we will play Dodgeball as well as Flag Football 
Thursday- Meet at the Smyrna Town Centre. We will again travel to Lee Victory Recreation Park where we will participate in Group Game Day 
Friday- Meet at the Smyrna Town Centre. Once again we will travel to Lee Victory Recreation Park where we will play Save the Egg and also play Ultimate Frisbee.  
*Cost 3$ per person per day
*Recommended ages 5-12 for all activities.
*Snacks and drinks will be provided each day
*Reservations are preferred but not required and will be taken at the Parks Office
*Activities will run each day from 9am-12pm
