Halloween in the Park is one of Smyrna's biggest events of the year! Costume contests for all ages, regular and haunted hayrides, games, corn maze, free inflatables, pie-eating contest, train rides, food vendors and more than 80 booths!

Movies in the Park: The Boss Baby

Enjoy some great family time at our final "Movies in the Park" event for 2017 as we show "The Boss Baby" on a gigantic screen! Friday, September 1st at the Rotary Soccer Park. Gates open at 5:30. The movie will begin at dusk (approx. 7:30pm). Admission is $1 per person. Train rides and inflatables will also be available for $1. Food vendors/concessions will be on site, too.

Smyrna annexes 109.5 acres for housing development near Stewarts Creek schools

The rural area surrounding Stewarts Creek schools will look more like suburbs after the Smyrna Town Council annexed 109.5 acres Tuesday for a housing subdivision.
"That whole area is going to populate that way," said Vice Mayor Marc Adkins, who expects the housing growth near a campus complex serving around 4,100 students to be similar to what has happened around the Blackman schools on the west side of Murfreesboro.
