An item of interest for our readers

This will likely not make some local parents in Smyrna happy.

Rutherford County Schools officials said Jessica Holland, a former Eagleville School elementary teacher who was charged with stealing the prescription drug Adderall from one of her students, has returned to the classroom at a different Rutherford County school: Stewartsboro Elementary in Smyrna.

Assisting the SPD

The Smyrna Police Department would like you to help find these individuals

The two females have been committing fraud at several Wal-Mart stores by using counterfeit coupons for various items. They have been driving a light colored GMC Acadia with a dual sunroof. The vehicle shown is not the actual vehicle but one that is similar. Anybody with information on the identity or location of these subjects should contact Detective Marcy Gossett at Smyrna Police Department, 615-267-5002.

Well this sucks

Looks like a company is moving from Smyrna and will now be using a third party vendor in Chattanooga.

Sixty-four people will lose their jobs this spring, as Carrier Corporation announced plans to idle its Smyrna distribution and warehouse facility. The heating, ventilation and air-conditioning company will shift the operations that had been handled in Rutherford County to a third-party vendor in Chattanooga, a corporate spokeswoman told The Tennessean

There is a political issue with this company, so please let us stay friendly on this site.
