My brother told me that someone in Smyrna is passing around a petition to get a referendum on this years ballot to allow liquor stores in Smyrna. While I hope they gets the required number of signatures to put the issue on the ballot, the strong views of the voters in Smyrna likely will vote it down as they did in the package liquor sales vote of two years ago.
I say use the economy to their advantage/ It would save people money on gas as they would not have to drive to City Limit Liquors to purchase their booze, and increase the chance of road accidents. Sounds like a winner to me.
