On March 12th – 14th some of the top ranked Women’s College bowling teams will be coming to Smyrna Bowling Center to participate in the Vanderbilt Women’s Home Bowling tournament – the Music City Classic. This years tournament will have 15 of the top ranked women’s college teams in attendance. Among the teams will be Nebraska, last years NCAA champion; and 2nd place team Central Missouri. Vanderbilt’s Women’s team will have 3 seniors that this will be their final tournament in their black and gold uniform. Vanderbilt is currently ranked number 2 in the nation behind University of Maryland -Eastern Shore.
Friday’s bowling will start at 11:00 am and end sometime around 5:00 or 6:00p.m. Saturday will start after the Youth bowling leagues have finished (approx. 12:00pm) and the lanes have been re-oiled with the NCAA pattern. Sunday the tournament will finish and a champion crowned. Good Luck to all the teams and I hope that you have a safe trip to the tournament.
