Murfreesboro.com posted on their website information on the summer food program and sites. It looks like Smyrna has three sites.
The RCS School Nutrition department will once again offer the Summer Food Service Program, which will be held Monday-Friday May 31-July 29, 2016. The program will not be open July 4th.Meals will be provided to all children 18 and younger free of charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal serviceThe federally funded food program is provided each year in high poverty areas to ensure area children have access to a proper nutrition while school is not in session.
