Boat Day & Waterfest Service Project

Another nice event is coming up in a few days and it looks like fun. For kids that have never gone out on the water, this would make for a great day...and it is free. Free is almost always good.

This Rotary Club has helped with logistics for this event for sereral years. Volunteers help with check in, fitting life jackets, and help people in and out of boats. The following is a brief descrtiption:
"Citizens of all ages are encouraged to visit the water quality and boat safety exhibits and enjoy the tranquil lake water in either a canoe or kayak, or both. Canoes, kayaks, paddles and life jackets will be available, and life jackets are required to be worn. All young children must be accompanied by an adult on all boats. This event is FREE! "
