Activities to keep the youth busy for next week.

Spring Break Week Activities

March 27th - March 31st

The Smyrna Parks and Recreation Department along with the Outdoor Adventure Center will host fun family activities during spring break. The program is designed to encourage children to get out and enjoy our beautiful parks system. Parent are welcome to attend or drop your child off if you prefer.

Monday, March 27th
Leave No Trace - Bike Ride
Help us keep our parks clean and welcoming while joining us in a Leave No Trace park clean up event while enjoying a nice bike ride!

Tuesday, March 28th
Easy Engineering
Engineering is a great way to be creative! The hands-on challenges will develop problem solving skills and encourage participants to discover how things work.

Location: Hilltop-Rosenwald Community Building. 565 Mason Tucker Drive
Time: 1:00pm - 2:30pm

Wednesday, March 29th
WACKY WEDNESDAY
Join us at the Smyrna Library for a ‘WACKY WEDNESDAY’ program…it’s wacky because you just never know what you’ll be doing until you walk in the door! Hint for this Wednesday’s program is “Use Clues!”
Facilitated by the SOAC.

Preschool Program: Take a Walk in the Park Day
Spring is here!  We’ll take a color walk to spy what’s new in nature. Make-and-take spotters help us focus on what’s crawling, growing, or flying in our park!

Thursday, March 30th
Chess in the Park

Ever wanted to learn how to play chess? Smyrna’s Outdoor Adventure Center invites you to learn how. There is no age limit and no experience is needed. This event is free of charge and EXPERIENCED PLAYERS ARE WELCOMED.

Friday, March 31st
What Does it Eat?
Carnivores, omnivores, herbivores, oh my! Animal lovers will especially enjoy this program. The whole family will have a chance to interact with live animals and learn about what they eat. All ages welcome.

Time: 10:00am - Noon
