Looking to put an end to those Winter blues? Warm up with some good books in the seventh annual Walter King Hoover Winter Reading Program at Smyrna Public Library. Designed for adults and teenagers, the Winter Reading Program rewards you for the books you read. This year, the library will host a book release party for Walter King Hoover's History of the Town of Smyrna and an author talk from J.T. Ellison, along with other great programs. Participants will have opportunities to win numerous prizes, including a digital camera or an Extravagant Entertainment Package.Programs like this had an important impact on my youth as RIF (Reading is Fundamental) supplied me with a lot of books I never would have had a chance to read otherwise.
Here are the times and dates for those interested.
