Today at the YMCA, I heard that one of the theatres may have cancelled due to "overcrowding" of the market. With 28 screens, the rumor did not seem that outrageous.
I made a call to the Malco, and the Roxy offices, and both said they have no plans on slowing down construction. Good news in my opinion. Competition will help guarantee better service to you and I.
