My name is Kim Manning, I am doing a fundraiser for The Domestic Violence Program in Murfreesboro. My fundraiser will be June 11th (thurs) 12:00pm-7:00pm at Jumper's Playhouse located on Murfreesboro Rd. in Smyrna. Jumper's Playhouse is owned by Sgt. I am a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant and I will be doing free facials at 12:30, 2:30, 4:30 & 6:00. I really want to make a difference and I am donating a portion of my proceeds as well. I also have a list of needed supplies and I have contacted some local business and asked them to donate what they can. I hope you guy's can get involved in anyway that you can. I am going to place an ad in the Rutherford Times to advertise. I strongly encourage you to pass this e-mail to any woman that would participate in a free facial, they can bring their kids and all is for a great cause. I am also hoping to have a local beauty salon donate a free hair cut & color to raffle off.Good luck.

The silent auction forms will be up on Monday next week so you can stop by and place your bid! see ya then!!!
I am giving everyone an update on the fund raiser for the Heart of Tennessee Red Cross Chapter. The owners of the bowling center have decided to lower the price of bowling. It is now going to be $3.00 for children and $4.00 per adult per game plus shoe rental with half of all proceeds going to the Red Cross. This is going to be a great value that is also helping those in need out. I have confirmed that the firetruck, firehouse from the Town of Smyrna will be coming along with the Dare officers, K-9 unit, D.J., Karaoke, inflatable, dunking booth, airbrush tattoo artist, O'Charleys will be bringing their mobile kitchen, games, P.A.W.S, and much much much more. Fund raiser update:

I have secured a dunking machine that is provided by the La Vergne Lions Club, also an airbrush tattoo artist, A d.j. spinning 70's music, Smyrna fire dept will be bringing a firetruck, and our very own congressman Bart Gordon is going to try to attend this event. What I need from the people of Northern Rutherford county is things for donation to the silent auction. I am also needing volunteers to help with getting things together plus help out the day of the fund raiser. anyone want to work the dunking booth would be great too! Our state is known as the Volunteer state so Smyrna and La Vergne step up and lets make this event one to remember. Feel free to comment here or email me at bearroller9640@yahoo.com.

"Promise me I'll live another 15 years, that would make me 30 "

OK people I have an update on Brandon Brewer and this update is one that is going to make your heart heavy. I have heard from his mother today and she informs me that Brandon is in the first stages of liver failure. The doctors told her that he has about One year to live if he doesn't get the transplants that he needs. They are making plans now to head to Pittsburgh this weekend to see the doctors and try to figure out what to do next.
As a 15 yr old young man I couldn't deal with this like he is dealing with this.I was told by his mother that Christmas is his favorite time of year and mine as WELL! They are going to be putting up the Christmas tree this afternoon and they are going to leave it up until he is feeling better. As most of you know I had a fundraiser this past month at the Smyrna bowling center and we ended up raising about $3837.00. Which will help with medical bills. The family has to pay out so much per month that they don't get to do anything for the family. I have decided that maybe we should do another fundraiser but this time make it a Christmas party/fundraiser. I know of a great band called Soul Incision and they are a group of doctors and such at Vanderbilt Hospital and by night they play music and when I heard this band I fell in love with them. I am going to see if they play for the event I will be planning. I would like to see if anyone out there would be able to help me plan a special night with music and food and gifts or donations? I would also need someone to donated a place to hold this event. Either a church or nightclub or a multi- purpose room would be great. I would like to have as many people in the area involved with this to make this such a special night for Brandon because people, this might be his last Christmas. Anyone that is willing to help out please email me at bearroller9640@yahoo.com. Check out his site here for all the updates He did the other day tell his mom and I quote "Promise me I'll live another 15 years, that would make me 30 " This tears up my heart something bad. I pray that he gets the much needed transplants and soon. want to donate alittle something then you can. Want to help me with doing another event please call me at 995-2636 and lets make this a great night for Brandon!!
