Smyrna is growing

85 new jobs are going to be created in Smyrna.
Federal-Mogul Corp.'s expanding auto-parts distribution center here is searching for the same thing other plants want — a dedicated workforce that understands safety.

"I want people with a good work ethic," said General Manager Jeffrey Aquila, who oversees a current operation of about 300 employees at the 300,000-square-feet distribution center. "This area is a tough area to compete in (for workers). It's dynamic with a lot of different cultures. It has a pretty good labor pool."

The company is creating 85 new jobs as it soon launches another safety-emphasized distribution center to package and ship its brakes and chassis for authorized Ford dealerships.
A warehouse job may look low on the scale of money making jobs, but the pay looks good.
The company pays hourly wages that average $13.70 per hour with a benefit package that's worth about 33 percent of that.
Understand that the pay they list is average. From custodian to Warehouse manager. They average them ALL.
