Veterans of Foreign Wars annual Veterans Day Ceremony:11 a.m., Smyrna City Hall, 315 S. Lowry St., Smyrna. After the ceremony, everyone is invited to the Post Home, 10157 Old Nashville Highway, for a get-together for all veterans and friends from in and around the community. Food will be served, and a table will be set up for veterans to display medals, citations, commendations and more. For more information, call 459-9832.
Scouts to distribute "Buddy Poppies" in observance of Veterans Day: Cub Scouts and Webelos from Pack 842, and Boy Scouts from Troop 422 will be present at local stores to hand out poppies for everyone to wear. Sponsored by Smyrna VFW Post 8422. All donations received will go to VFW Post 8422 to assist disabled veterans and their families
