Traffic lights needed, part two

Reading Kathy T's last post, I realized there is another place in Smyrna that needs a traffic signal.

A light is definitely needed at the intersection of Motlow College Dr and Sam Ridley. For those of you wondering, yes this is the entrance to the Smryna YMCA. Across the street there is an entrance to a subdivision of homes that I'm sure could benefit from the addition of a traffic signal here.

Traffic on Sam Ridley goes at a good clip at most times of the days. Also with the shorter left turn lanes and lack of a light, it can make turning left into the Y at a busy time of day a bit precarious. Heaven forbid there be a few cars in front of you and no room for you to get into the protected left turn lane on either side of the road--either for the Y or the subdivision.

A light is definitely needed here. So if any of our city leaders are reading this, consider this the voice of one citizen asking for your help in this matter.
